Is this the case? Is there any way to create a third route so I don't have to give up the OH or Room mic channel?Īlso, when changing, say, the Overhead to an Aux, and you go into Bleed Level, the label on Bleed Level still says Overhead, even though the knob is now routing to the Aux.Īdding the ability to create more buses would solve both of the above. This is another important feature. When I go into Bleed Route, it seems like that's where I send to the aux, but it seems like I have to give up either the Room or Overhead route in order to send it out of an Aux as well. What I'd like to do is send a couple kit pieces, particularly the snare, thru the Bus into my DAW (Studio One) in order to put a little reverb on it, or whatever else).

I haven't read all the comments but the SSD 4 engine is mildy buggy, at least in PT HD Native 10.0.0 (Mac Pro 12 Core OS X 10.6.8) - nothing too extreme.but it has crashed Pro Tools a few times. So to be able to use the two alongside one another would be epic.

There are just WAY too many grooves in EZPlayer Pro to get rid of it. But it'd be nice to have something I know is correct (velocities and everything). Right now I'm using the BFD 2 mapping in EZplayer to trigger SSD 4 and it seems to be working ok. In using EZPlayer Pro (for the grooves) alongside SSD 4, it would be great if you guys and Toontrack could collaborate like you did before so there's an offical map setting you can select in EZPlayer Pro so the grooves trigger SSD 4 properly. Is there currently a way to not have this happen? This one is very important.at least to my workflow and I'd imagine others.Ģ. Once you set up the mixer (so the kick is routed to the kick aux, the snare to the snare aux, etc)- well once you do that, and you change kits, the WHOLE mixer resets itself. The drums sound absolutely great!! If you don't mind I have two suggestions:ġ. Thanks folks if you have any info, it would be greatly appreciated Libary is located through firewire 800 on a g-drive mobile which has been solid as a rock

If anyone on here has any tips if they've encountered this, or if you might know how to get logic to recognize SSD, that would be awesome.īy the way, my specs are pretty insane but if you think it might be something with a machine, take a look -Ģ011 Macbook Pro 2.3 ghz i7 16gb ram 256 gb SSD then i'm asking for my money back and I'll be either buying more vengaence packs or getting AD or BFD. At this point I'm going to give the Support team ONE chance to fix it. I'm beginning to think the back end (coders and programmers) of this company does not nearly live up to the hype of the front end (steven and the musicians, quality of the recordings) - MIND YOU - I havent even heard a single drum hit yet.

I tried opening logic to do it in Logic but Logic doesn't even recognize Slate digitial it doesn't give me the option (in 32 bit AND 64 bit mode) to select SSD even though the AU is clearly in the component folder. Obviously I'm going to be writing into support and calling them but they are closed until tomorrow so i will rant. Now i'm staring down the barrel of a $300 loss when I was really hoping for some sick drums.

I opt for the license file, hoping i can re-load ableton with the vst once I choose the license file in the AU version. I can see the "Select License File" and "Select Base Dir" options once again. Plugin opens fine, settings tab is staring me in the face. Now the only track is the SSD 4.0 Ableton AU track. this time clearing out all my default tracks.

I reload ableton again (still no vst in vst folder as it causes ableton to crash). At this point I restart my computer thinking maybe that will do something. Upon re-opening ableton, i thought to myself "well maybe i need to tell it the directory first." So i reload the plugin and when I click to locate base directory GUESS WHAT ! Spinning beach ball. The plugin opened fine but when i clicked under settings to find my license, the beach ball of crud popped up and i had to force quit ableton after about 10 minutes of spinning. After a couple rounds of troubleshooting the solution was to move the vst out of the vst folder, open ableton, then open the AU version. This is a pretty common issue I guess, the litte SSD popup comes up and says "you don't have a license file, be sure to locate a license file using the settings" and you press okay and then ableton acts like it is about to load and the dreaded box of death comes up telling you ableton needs to be closed. The downloads went quickly enough and unzipped flawlessly, and the installer ran smoothly which was nice, but after installing and moving everything to proper position (license file into library folder, vst in vst folder, au in components) the VST obviously causes Ableton Live to crash upon starting. Okay well i picked up SSD 4.0 Platinum today and so far things havent gone very well. SLATE DIGITAL - MY LIMITED EXPERIENCE WORTH READING
